I’m incredibly lucky to get the opportunity to visit Mount Buffalo in Victoria a few times each year. I am in love with this place, and it’s incredible energy. For me, it is at it’s best in the Winter. There is an incredibly eerie silence where all you can hear is the snow that crunches under your boots as you move. Once you stop, the silence is beauty, and the landscape is spectacular.

It changes dramatically with sunlight and mist. Lucky for me I got to experience this on a sunny day, where the snow just sparkles and the sky is a rich blue. I also captured it the day before in the cloud and mist that you can see here.

Enjoy the views of the Gorge, Horn Plateau, The Cathedral and Hump, and across to Alpine Victoria from Bents Lookout.
