Three 2-hour sessions designed to get your creative writing juices really flowing. The workshop is based on ‘stream of consciousness’ writing techniques to release blocks. We also do individual and group writing activities to help you overcome your “inner critic”, tap into your creativity, have fun, and gain confidence with your writing. You may share your work and get feedback in a supportive environment. Beginners as well as more experienced writers are welcome.
Penelope Thompson, (B.A., M.Ed., Dip. Wholistic Healing), has been a practising artist, writer and performer for over 20 years. She completed a creative arts degree in the late ’90s at USC Queensland, where she was lucky enough to study under the famous Australian author, Gary Crew.
With a passion for exploring creativity in all its forms, Penelope then worked for many years as an inter-disciplinary artist at arts festivals and community art events across Australia, North America, Japan and Korea. Her writing work has included plays, short stories, art films, poetry and performance art events, as well as editing and producing arts-related articles for overseas newspapers, websites and magazines.
Penelope also taught for 10 years at various universities and colleges, and nowadays is known for her unique wholistic approach to teaching creative arts courses. For more information see her website: http://penelopethompson.com/
